Our Verdict:
“I had four steady days of luck, which is what you need to win this one.”
Jack Keller could have been talking about far more recent Main Events than his 1984 victory, but he was widely regarded as an excellent aggressive player during the 80’s. His Championship win netted him $660,000. No one-trick pony, he also finished ninth in 1987 and eighth in 1992.
A former stock market trader, Keller cashed in a Limit Hold ‘Em event in his native Tunica just four months before his death in 2003.
