iMsoLucky0: PVi Player Profile

iMsoLucky0
  United States
Full Name:
Jordan Morgan
Our Verdict:
Jordan Morgan, aka ‘iMsoLucky0’, is one of the most prominent online tournament players around. Now a sponsored ‘red’ pro of Full Tilt, he is equally comfortable live or online and is one of the few players to have had major tournament scores in both arenas, making millions of dollars in the process. After starting playing low limit home games in 2003, Morgan quickly realised the earning potential of poker and in his last year of studying Physics at Oklahoma University he realised that poker was going to be his profession. He certainly hasn’t regretted the decision. He has prize money of over $330,000 on PokerStars and more than $160,000 on FT (before his alias was retired). Victory in the notoriously tough $200 re-buy on Stars (for $40,620) in November 2006 was followed up with a monster score in July ’07, winning Full Tilt’s $750k GTD for a whopping $120,966. He has also had several deep finishes in the Sunday Million, Sunday Warm-Up and $100 re-buy events. In a well on 2 plus 2 Morgan stated that one of his ambitions was to make a name for himself in the live domain and he has certainly gone a long way to gaining increased exposure with his results. In fact, with offline tournament winnings of over $1million, even he admits that he is more of a live player nowadays. His biggest cash to date came at the United States Poker Championship in October ‘06, where he lost heads-up to Alex Jacob for a nice second place prize of $405,072. His biggest victory, however, came in September ’07 when he managed to take down a WSOP Circuit Event in Grand Tunica for a further $216,852. On top of this, ‘iMsoLucky0’ also cashed 4 times in both the 2006 & 2007 WSOP’s, making him one of the most consistent World Series players of recent times. His biggest score at the Rio came in the 2006 $1,500 NLH, where he final tabled only to finish eighth for $87,060. Despite being a relatively young man (born in 1985), Morgan has already been happily married for a number of years and continues to live an unassuming life in his hometown of Norman, Oklahoma. He is known for his innovative insight and thinking about the game (see his article on moving from online to live play here) and aims to make enough money to “never think about money again” by the time he is 25. If he continues as he has been this shouldn’t be a problem.
